Obituary

The late Eileen Diamond, nee Cohen, age 95 of Northbrook, IL passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years and love of her life Norton Diamond; loving mother of Marc (Deborah) Diamond, Rand (Rhonda) Diamond and Kirk (Kathy) Diamond; adored grandmother of Heather (Jos) Vaught, Blane Diamond, Michelle Diamond, Dustin Diamond, Ashley (Sean) Weldy, Jessica (Ben) Bowerman and Alec Diamond; proud great grandmother of Roan and Ryah Vaught and Max Weldy; dear sister of the late Anne (the late Sam) Emmerman and the late Lillian (the late Albert) Millstone. She was born in Chicago, IL and lived the majority of her adult life in Peoria, IL. Eileen worked with her husband in his optometry practice as a dispensing optician. She volunteered with Proctor Hospital for over 20 years and was an active member of Congregation Anshai Emeth, both in Peoria, IL. Eileen was an avid bridge player, enjoyed dancing, educational travel and life long learning. She was happiest when she was with her family. She will be dearly missed.
