Obituary
Sherwin was devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sheri Zuckerman (nee Teichner), his children Sara Labowitz (David Labowitz), Daniel Zuckerman (Julie Zuckerman), Michael Zuckerman (Andrew Zuckerman), his brother, Arnie Zuckerman (Debbie Zuckerman), and many nephews and nieces. He was the proud and cherished grandfather of Andrew, Caroline, and James Zuckerman, William, Stella and Max Labowitz, and Jack Zuckerman, all of whom adored him. He is also remembered with love by a large circle of extended family and friends.
A lifelong learner with a sharp and curious mind, Sherwin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and later completed his MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. His keen intellect and early fascination with the stock market, an interest that began at age 13, guided him into a distinguished career. He was a well-respected investment advisor, building his career as an early partner at Harris Associates, before founding his own investment firm, Zuckerman Investment Group. Sherwin grew the firm based on long-term relationships, a foundation of trust across generations, and a strong commitment to investment excellence.
Sherwin also served in the Illinois National Guard and remained quietly committed to his community throughout his life. His generosity and sense of responsibility were deeply felt by those around him, though he never sought recognition for it.
Sherwin will be remembered for his warm demeanor and steadfast love of family. His presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

Uncle Sherwin was the light in the room. He always had a smile and a hug. Aunt Sheri as well! They are both held with such respect in my heart and soul. He will be missed so very much by myself, Aaron, Gavin and Harper. He loved to dance and sing at all of the family events, where I was eager to join him on the dance floor! He was always eager to know how we all were and what sandwiches we would want to order from Subs n More in South Haven. His appetite for conversation and fun at all the family dinners will always be a favorite memory. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I will always remember him for his kindness and warmth every time we were lucky enough to see each other. Rest easy,
Heaven has gained a special soul.

The world will have a void without Sherwin. Sherwin was the MOST loving person on earth.: kind, caring, generous, brilliant and would give anyone the shirt off his back. I remember meeting Sherwin when Sheri started dating him. He was in the reserves, uniform, shaved head and I remember adoring him then. There is a place in heaven for such an amazing soul. He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him. There are no words for how it feels to not have Sherwin smiling, laughing and always sharing a kind word as well as cheating in Scrabble with non English words. I truly loved him….the best brother in law a person could have. And to my sister who gave her heart and soul every day to keep Sherwin smiling and healthy…..with love. May his memory be a blessing

I am one of Sherwin’s oldest friends from when I was 12 and he was 13. As part of our summer home community Sherwin and I were part of a warm close teenage group with countless memories, We stayed friends ever since. Our grandparents were friends and Sherwin was very close to my parents and became the investment advisor to them, my brother and me. Three weeks before he died I visited him at a Rehab Center where we discussed my upcoming financial planning. I am close to Sheri, Sara, Danny and Michael and his brother Arnie who Sherwin adored is one of my favorite people in the world. I loved Sherwin for over sixty years and his death will leave a huge hole in my life. He leaves a wonderful devoted family.
