Obituary

Jane Ann Ganet-Sigel, nee Mendelssohn, 87, beloved wife of Melvin Sigel; loving mother of Marcey (Kenneth) Siegel, Fred (Martha) Ganet, Larry (Gale) Ganet and Eddie (Cheryl) Ganet; devoted “Gigi” of twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; dear sister of the late Gerald (Jeanne) Mendelssohn; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Thursday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Entombment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jane Ganet-Sigel Scholarship Fund for the Creative Arts Therapy at Columbia College Chicago. I remember one of the first times I met her, Larry and I had just started dating. We were at a street fair one evening. She and Mel joined us, and Jane and I just began wildly dancing together and had a blast!
