My sister met Phil when I was 4 years old. He was a brother and uncle to Rebecca and Bari. He had such a strong spirit that he was able to overcome the effects of MS. His love for family gave him strength to live and enjoy each day. He will be missed

We will remember all the good times we shared with him. He was such a great person. My dad always thought of Harold and Phillip as his brothers. My dad loved to tell stories about them growing up together.

Phil was my uncle through marriage. Even after my divorce, Phil treated me as family. He was so full of life, He treated everyone with the respect they deserved. I enjoyed meeting him for dinner many times to just talk.

Memories include family club picnics with the Berger clan, we had so much fun! I particularly remember what a lively and funny group the Bergers were (including my father Ken, first cousin to Phil and Harold), and particular Uncle Max! What a GREAT group. My memories of these picnics bring back a lot of joy and Phil and Harold were very kind to me. I regret a lack of contact through the years; my deepest condolences.
