Obituary

David Paul Magnus, MD, 75, beloved husband of Janis McClain; loving father of Daniel (Gail) Magnus, Paul (Sonia) Magnus and stepfather of Stephanie (Andrew) Bradley, John (Jenna) Finkelstein and Jennifer (Jason) Gwazdacz; cherished grandfather of Benjamin, Sarah, Luca, Maxwell, Catherine, Anne and John; devoted son of the late Dorothy and Max Magnus; dear brother of Betty (the late Herbert) Stein; treasured uncle of Marla (Peter) Skiko, Pamela (Steven) Katz and Allee Martell; former husband of Rolla Koken; adored great uncle and cousin. David was born and raised in Chicago. He practiced medicine as a urologist for more than 40 years in Sacramento, California, and was a talented and caring physician. He will be greatly missed by his family, golf buddies, many friends, medical colleagues and patients, as well as his loyal canine companions, Minnie and Maxine. Chapel service Monday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. I was privileged to work with Dave for many years in Sacramento, California. He was always
available to assist and counsel his colleagues in difficult clinical situations. He was a splendid
referral source and never failed to provide the best of care to my patients. He was a superb
urologist highly respected in our medical community and shall be sorely missed. I valued his
friendship and have missed seeing him since I retired.

I regret I never had occasion to get to know his family. I send my best wishes in this hour
of their pain and assure them he numbered among the best physicians I ever worked with.
