Marc was my son, Max, drum teacher. Max resembled Marc in many ways; build, hair, etc. Max grew his curly brown hair a bit longer that I preferred for his age, but he told me, “Mom, it looks like Marc’s, and that’s the look I was going for”. He loved Marc and is devastated by this loss. He will live on in Max’s heart, as he was instrumental in Max’s early musical years. Our sympathies to his family, friend, & fans!

I had the joy of playing on a summer volleyball league with Marc a few years ago. We never really stayed in touch, but he surprised me with a visit to my office seeking help promoting the LogJam events. I was so he lighted to see him that day. I’m sure he would say we were friends – he seemed to be friends with everyone – even though I feel I never kept in toch enough to deserve the title. It breaks my heart to know the world is without such a kind soul, such a talented musican, and such a wonderful friend.

it’s hard for me not to think about steve bringing marc to our blues jam when he was very young. i have always been amazed at how kind and respectful marc was, even at that young age. that amazing trait carried through to the very last time i saw him. knowing steve, i can def see where he got it from. i have not met more kind gentlemen.

Ever since I met Marc he was always so welcoming and warm. He never ceased to put a smile on my face and everyone else’s. He just knew how to light up a room. I will always remember the multiple times At TGs when asked him to play Flight of the Conchords song, ‘the most beautiful girl in the room.’ He would always play it for me! Marc, I will never forget you. Thank you for all of the smiles and laughs you gave me.”

One Christmas, I was invited to the home of my friends, Dr. Steven Eaton and Linda Poulsen. Marc arrived after dinner, and there were an awesome number of gifts with his name on them. Marc opened box after box, all containing tshirts, dress shirts, and things associated with shirts (cuff links, amulets, etc.) The number of shirts Marc received was amazing. From that Christmas forward, I remembered Marc as “shirt boy.”
