Merle Kraft, nee Hoffman, 88, beloved wife of the late Alex; loving mother of Cheryl (Anthony) Hadley and David (Ilona) Kraft; cherished Bubbie of Rachel Haught, (Ted Despotes), Joshua (Octavia) Haught, Abigail Hadley (Jordan Gaulke, fiance), Graham Hadley and Jennifer, Erica, Zoe and Ariana Kraft; adored Great Bubbie of Ayva and Laila; devoted daughter of the late Hatskell Hoffman and Rebecca Pushkin Hoffman; dear sister of Arnie (Estelle) Hoffman; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. I remember seeing Merle for the first time and thinking this woman is stunning and she is nice too. She was dear friend of Dorothy Levin my Mother-in-law. She was a great Mom to her children who I became friends with and I know she so special. I hadn’t seen her in such a long time but she is a woman I will never forget. I can still see in my minds eye holding my daughter Cass and having Grandkids you knew they would have so much love.
The legacy from her family will go on for they are great people who inherited her kindness.
You will stay in my memories Merle lovely lady.
