Obituary

Hamilton D. Wishnoff, 71, passed away peacefully on September 25th, best friend and loving husband of 46 years of Alana “Lani”, nee Grant; loving father of Deena (Justin) Krieger and the late Joseff; adored papa of Ava Shae Krieger; beloved brother of Gaynelle (Wes) Rocklin, Richard (Kris) and Roger (Dawn); dear brother-in-law of Dennis (Jan) Grant; best uncle of Douglas (Alex) Rocklin, Stacey, Jake, Sam and Katie Bay Wishnoff, and Eric, Sammy and Lindsay Grant; great uncle of Mia; treasured “brothers” of his heart: David (Mary) Finkel and Dr. Allan and (Chris) Katz; cherished son of the late Louis and Bernyce; fond son-in-law of the late Jack and Lillian Grant; loving nephew, cousin and friend to many. He was my 3rd grade teacher in 1974 at Douglas MacArthur elementary school in Hoffman Estates, IL. Hands down, the best teacher I ever had. Everybody loved him. He wore platform high heeled shoes. I always wanted a pair. RIP Mr. Wishnoff.

I always thought I had a strong sense of humor. But in Ham’s presence, I was humbled. He always made me laugh more than anyone else could. Ham brought joy and laughter to virtually any gathering and his smile and quick wit made him a pleasure to spend time with.
