Noel Goodman, beloved husband of Elaine “Cookie” (nee Landerman); loving father of Steven (Rosalee), Jordan (Kathy) and Nadine (David) Preskill; caring Grandpa of Justin, Alexandra (Justin), Emma, Savannah, Mia, Jacob (fiancee Nicole), Isabel, Guy, and Bennett. Noel, born and raised in the Austin neighborhood, successfully rose from staff accountant to Vice President – Tax for The Edward Hines Lumber Co. Noel, a victim of multiple strokes, struggled for many years before dying peacefully with dignity. Chapel service Thursday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
