Boris Beard, 94, of Northbrook, beloved husband of the late Millie; loving father of Morris (Joan), Arlene (Mitchell Spector) Dombeck, and Alan (Gail); cherished grandfather of Jodi Dombeck, Heather (Scott) Beard, Lori (Douglas) Jones and Molli, Jake & Cori Beard and the late Michael Dombeck; adored great-grandfather of Erik and Madeline Jones; treasured companion of many years to Lois Siegal; devoted son of the late Harry and Lillian; dear brother of the late Bernard, Howard, and Jerry Beard; caring uncle of many. Boris was a true Chicagoan through and through-other than his love for the New York Yankees. He was born and raised on Chicago’s west side, and lived his whole life in and around Chicago. He was a strong, proud, Jewish man who cared most of all about his family. Boris was a successful businessman who owned a manufacturing plant and later was a sales representative for Hamilton Beach for many years. He loved horse racing and could be found at Arlington Park, handicapping both the races and the food. Chapel service Monday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
