Aaron by his thorough devotion to telling his story inspired me to try to tell mine. His passionate retelling of his trials made not only all his listeners aware of the horrors of the Holocaust, but made many of them UPSTANDERS giving us all hope for a better future. His inspiration will be missed by all.

My children and I were fortunate to meet Mr. Elster at the Holocaust Museum. He spoke so kindly to my children. We read his book. He is such an inspiration to humanity. May he rest in peace.

Aaron was loving enough to share his survival story with my students for 16 years. Every single life has been changed for the better because of his message “Be kind to each other.” I know Aaron has now found peace as he is finally able to hold Sara’s hand.

The blessed memory of this great and giving man, Mr. Elster, will live on externally. Mr. Elster’ gave his heart to so many people that visited the museum and heard his heartfelt words. He left them all with words that will remain with them forever.
May the family of Mr. Elster find peace with the mourners of Jerusalem. Thousands of people grieve the passing to G-d’ kingdom. Blessed is memory of this great man of the faith.
