Obituary
Joan Melzer (nee Kovac), age 103, beloved wife of the late William “Barney” Melzer, for 61 years; cherished grandmother of Rev. Ron C. (Bonnie) Melzer; loving aunt of Carol (Frank) Arena and much loved great aunt of Matt Metcalf. Graveside services were held at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Good News Community Church or Friends of the Elderly or Mercy Home for Boys and Girls or Salvation Army, or Misericordia Home all in Chicago or Red Cloud Indian School in South Dakota.
