Melvin Kramer, 91, beloved husband of Henley Friedman for 6 years, and the late Rae Kramer nee Briskin for 52 years. Beloved father of Helene (Mark) Olefsky, Lenore (Dale) Shagrin and Paul (Marcia) Kramer. Cherished grandfather of Justin and Jillian Shagrin, Sarah and Mollie Kramer and David and Rachel Olefsky. Devoted Great-grandfather to Noah, Olivia, Lily, Max, Ella and Haley. Esteemed step-father to Ray Friedman, Stellie Friedman and Rosanne (Alan) Arnett, and much-loved step- grandfather to Neal, Bryan, David, Eliana, Adina, Roie and Yoni. Mel was a veteran of World War II, a Chicago native and a long-time resident of Skokie, where he spent many years working at Kinkos after retiring from his full-time job in manufacturing. May his memory be for a blessing. Chapel service, Sunday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
