Marvin Benn

Marvin and I go back to 1962 when we both attended Lane Technical High School and graduated, on Addison Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. My memories of him were filled with his love of playing the violin in the Lane Tech Orchestra and his other love playing basketball on Lane Tech’s basketball team. I remained in contact with him both professionally and socially intermittently through out the rest of his life. God bless Marvin and may he rest in peace.

I just found out that Marvin Benn passed away. I am just lost for words when I tried to post in his obituary. We go back almost forty years when he was the Buckinghams attorney in a well known trademark case in the 70’s. Marvin was a sweetheart of a guy and very kind. He use to come out to many T & G shows. Marvin first set up the Buckinghams trademark, and because of him we own the name. I know he had a long illness. He passed yesterday and can’t find the right words to say. Maybe I should just say Godspeed Marvin, and thank you for all you have meant to The Buckinghams and me through these past five decades. May those whom you leave behind be comforted in knowing that you are at peace and no longer bound by earthly pain. Barbara and I send our condolences to Karen and family. God bless you and thank you for your friendship.
