I met Lori several years ago and our first meeting was intense. She was protective of her sister Bonnie and understandably so. Lori was definitely a “straight shooter” who didn’t hold back. She was funny and fun to be around after I got to know her better. She was very interesting and I respected her honesty and how straight forward she was. Lori was a character and made me laugh any time she was around. She was a kind woman and leaves us all with a little bit of her. I will remember her with kind thoughts and am sorry she left so soon. Rest in Peace and Love Lori.

Enjoyed Lori’s wonderful sense of humor sitting in a class with her down at SIU-C and visiting with her in her dorm in 1978. She was just starting college and I was just finishing. Her sister Bonnie has been a best friend of mine since around 1974. Loved Lori and will miss her terribly.

I have very few memories over the past 40 years that do not include Lori. She was the most generous person. One of a kind! She was passionate and dedicated to friends and family. I am not alone in my sadness as so many loved her. I’ve created a GoFundMe page to help Lori’s family with the expenses as they work to arrange her final send off. Please follow this link if you would like to help.

My love and prayers to the entire family. May her memory be a blessing to all of us.
