Steven R. Koss, 79, beloved husband and best friend of Judy, nee Lerner, for 59 wonderful years; loving father of Bonnie Koss (Deb Lyman) and Sherry (Craig) Vesper; cherished Grandpa and Papa of Matthew Koss, Alec Vesper (Samantha Cerven, fiancée), Meredith Vesper and Jonathan Vesper; devoted son of the late Rae and Frank Koss; dear brother of Darlyne (Stewart) Posternack, Brian (Karen) Koss and Ina (Steven) Drexler; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. Steven had a love and passion for golf, tennis, softball and traveling. His greatest joy in life was his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to We Back Pat at The Pat Summitt Foundation (www.patsummitt.org) and The Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org). Chapel service Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. I met Steve a handful of times and always enjoyed my time with him. The first time I spent time I him he was always asking me to repeat something I said. After he cracked up laughing after I repeated something I realized it was my Brooklyn accent he wanted to hear! He was the best!
