Sandra Joy Stern, 80, loving sister of Jay (Betsy) and Howard Magidson; cherished aunt of Jennie (Bill) Connolly and Jeremy (Eliza) Magland; adored great aunt of Ryan, Shae, Abigail, Bonnie, Willa and Thomas; devoted daughter of the late Sam and Shirley Magidson. Popular math teacher at Sullivan High School for many years. Shalom Chapel service, Friday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. My brother Bob (Robert) was married to Sandra for a short time. I remember Sandra well. Bob passed away in 2004 in California. Two people whose lives crossed for a while. Both missed dearly.

I am a long time, good tennis buddy of Howard’s and I know that Howard adored his sister, saw her every week on Sundays, his day off. He always talked about her and they were blessed to have each other. I know how much he’ll miss his sister. She’s in a good place, in God’s hands now. Carol Hitchie
