Estelle Agrest, nee Tessler, 91, beloved wife and best friend of Dr. Jerome Agrest for 73 wonderful years; loving mother of Karen Agrest (Scott Mayer) and Larry Agrest; cherished Nana of Lee (Laura) Serota, Eric Serota, Jeremy Agrest and Matthew Agrest; adored Great Nana of Kian, Ryan and Adin Serota and Grayson Agrest; devoted daughter of the late Harry and Kate Tessler; dear sister of the late Kenneth (Arlene) Tessler; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Beth Shalom (www.bethshalomnb.org) or the charity of your choice. Chapel service Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. We have known Estelle and Jerry for quite some time. We first knew Dr. Jerome Agrest as our eye doctor.

We started going to Marriott’s musical theater many years ago, and inexplicably were seated next to Estelle and Dr. Agrest We started going to dinner afterwards and we always enjoyed their company. Estelle, ever a very elegant and intelligent dinner partner. We marveled at their long marriage and listened to many stories of their past. We were sorry to learn about Estelle’s passing and know that she will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her loving husband Jerry.
