Obituary

Dr. Donald Kwait of Northbrook, IL and longtime resident of Beachwood, OH died on January 22nd, 2022, beloved husband of 72 years to Beatrice Kwait; cherished father of Cory (Jill) Kwait, Lisa (Ronald) Kohn, and Brian (Randye) Kwait and the late Kim Kwait; loving Papa of Adam (Ilana) Block, Samantha (Peter) Kramer, Haley (James) Zollo, Jared (Alex) Kwait, Jason (fiancee Roni Maugeri) Kwait, Taylor Kwait, Danielle Kwait, Benjamin Kohn, and Jackson (Heather) Kohn; proud great Papa of Talia, Judah, and Shira Block, Lily and Noah Kramer, Grey Kwait, and Bryn Zollo; devoted son of the late Samuel and Lillian Kwait; son-in-law of the late Hyman and Elizabeth Madow; brother of the late Robert Kwait. Donald was a dentist for 55 years, but his lifelong passion was civic service. Donald was a proud Rotarian of 65 years and held the distinguished positions of Trustee of The Rotary Foundation and Director and Treasurer of Rotary International. Donald also volunteered extensively at the Cleveland Clinic where he was awarded Volunteer of the Year; Junior Achievement; and Menorah Park senior residences. My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved “Dr. Kwait”. I know that he was a wonderful partner, father, and grandfather.

I remember going to your house as a child, and your dad would always approach your friends with a bright smile, and silly story or joke. I also remember him coming to school to speak about dentistry.
May the days and weeks ahead bring you comfort, as you remember your many fond memories with a special person.
