Obituary

Lana M. Zimmerman (nee Hoffman), 41, passed away on December 30, 2022 in Naples Florida, a city that she loved, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife and best friend of Aaron; cherished daughter of Jack and Eva (nee Haber) Hoffman; much loved sister of Bryan (Lori) Hoffman; adored aunt of Riley and Bryce Hoffman, Audrey Moran, Scarlett Moran and Levi Moran; loving granddaughter of Rosylen Hoffman; dear niece of Irving Hoffman and Helena and Paul Perzuck, wonderful daughter in-law to Debra and Bernard Neiweem; loved sister in-law to Laura and Michael Moran; loved cousin of Ari (Cindy), Amir (Nikki), Tahlia, Jade, Emily and Zoe; treasured friend to all who knew her. Lana was born June 16, 1981 in Skokie, Illinois and later the family moved to Northbrook, Illinois. Lana graduated from Glenbrook North and went on to achieve her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from National Louis University. Lana worked for many years teaching kindergarten; she was a reading specialist and loved the effect of teaching and helping her students grow. Lana was a beautiful person inside and out. She was an inspiration and source of positivity to all that knew her. She was a thoughtful, thankful and gratuitous soul who always let others know how much they meant to her. She had a deep love for nature and animals. While in Naples, Florida Lana volunteered and gave her time to worthy causes such as the Humane Society, Literacy Volunteers, Grace Place, the Boys and Girls Club and Manatee School. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched; especially her much loved cats Tucker, Calvin and Emma.
