Jerome Braun, 104, loving husband of the late Lillian (nee Schuster) and the late Phyllis Krause-Braun (nee Eisenstaedt), son of Jacob and Augusta (Szlakman) Braun. Brother of the late Howard and the late Dora Hoffman. Father of Brian (Terre), Mark, and Gordon (Louise). Step-father of Joanne (Bob) Bernstein, Dr. SueEllen Krause and Dr. Philip (Jackie) Krause. Grandfather of David (Sadie), Rabbi Aaron (Marina), Max and Schuster (Molly). Step-grandfather of Jennifer (David) Ransburg, Lisa (Jay) Keltner, Ari, Gabriel and Talia Krause. Great-grandfather of Aidan, Lillian, Samantha, Jonah, Ariella, Jackson and Naftali Braun. Step great-grandfather of Cecilia and Harper Ransburg and Ryan and Jacob Keltner. Uncle of Marty (Diana Paserba) Behn , Alissa Behn (Peter Reichle) and Paul (Jackie) Hoffman. Jerry was an engineering graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology (class of 1941), who worked as an engineer for more than 77 years, first for the U.S. government in Washington D.C. during World War II and later for International Iron and then MTH Industries. Chapel service, Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
