Evie played duplicate bridge in our group for a few years. I remember how smiling and pleasant she always was. Everyone in the group liked Evie. When she couldn’t drive, someone always offered to pick her up. We will miss her.

We just want to express our deepest sympathies to all of you on the heartbreaking loss of your mom and grandmother. You all spoke so beautifully today during the funeral and we feel like we got to know her through your meaningful and heartfelt words. What an amazing woman and incredible and full life she lived. May your memories of her bring you only love and comfort and many blessings. Sending love and prayers.

“Aunt Evelyn” was my mother’s life-long best friend. I have a lifetime of fond memories including the Fourth of July gatherings, Mah Jong Nights (the snacks were the best) and visits to California. She along with “Aunt Bobby” and Marion also surprised my mom with a visit for her 65th birthday. It was a wonderful time having them all back together and enjoying the sights! Over the past years I was fortunate to be able to keep in touch with Aunt Evelyn. While there were a few visits when we came to Chicago we also kept in touch with occasional phone calls. I even spoke with her last week. We had a wonderful visit reminiscing all the years that we shared and family updates as well. Both Uncle Henry and Aunt Evelyn will always remain in my heart forever…

Evelyn and I played bridge together for nearly 30 years and we had a lot of great times. We spoke after Henry’s passing, but I do regret that I was not aware that we might not speak again. I will miss her.
