Leon Friedman, 94, born June 5, 1929, son of the late Benjamin and Sadie (nee Lieberman) Friedman; high school sweetheart and husband of 74 years to the late Sylvia (nee Carter) Friedman; loving father of Shelli (Barry) Barnett and Bonnie (Scott) Gold; wonderful Grandpa of Samantha (Tim) Steed, Randi (Nathan) Eisenberg, Matthew and Adam Gold; adored great grandpa of Drew and Avery Eisenberg, Elle and Jay Steed; dear brother of the late Nathan Friedman, Sophie Gore Pomaranc and Helen Abman. Leon’s greatest passion beside his family was his contribution as captain of the state champion Marshall HS 1947 basketball team. His M Club and Greater Vest Side Club affiliations were a great source of pride.
