Obituary
Mickey was born on April 18, 1936, and will be remembered for his love of and dedication to his family and friends. Mickey made everyone feel special and was ever present in the lives of those who he held close in his heart. He was also an innovator and highly respected business leader in the flexible packaging industry.
Mickey was an admirer of the arts, taking in theatre, music and film. He loved strolling through art shows, galleries and exhibits and could never leave without a treasured purchase. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering at any sporting event, live or televised. He stood by his Bears and Cubbies, even though they disappointed year after year, and there was no bigger Illini fan. He enjoyed the beauty of nature, especially the beach and sunshine. Mickey always welcomed a round of golf. He had a big swing but his search for lost balls was endless.
He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.

Uncle Mickey was my other favorite Marshall. He was one of my dad’s (Marshall Kramer) best and favorite friends for as long as I can remember. I will never forget how he took care of us when my mom died and the following years of his steadfast love and devotion for my dad until the very end. No doubt he had a lot of “biggest fans” – put me at the top of that list. Steve, Sydney and Haley join me in sending you all so much love.

Betty, my sincere condolences to you and your entire family. My years at Bagcraft were years that taught me what loyalty to an employer was, due in no small part to Mickey. It was a privilege and honor to work with and for him for so many years. May you and your family, that he was so proud of, find great comfort in the many wonderful memories you have of so many happy years together.
Sincerely,
Rosemary DuMais (Jan’s secretary)

As I became an adult, my memories of Mickey, initially as a friend of my parents, transformed. I saw him as the ultimate “adult in the room” Able to negotiate any relationship, from the corporate boardroom, to helping me make decisions in my life, he was always unassuming but simultaneously larger than life….a hero to me.
