Anna was the first person at Waukegan that made me feel like I belong. She was my next door classroom neighbor, and from the first moment we met we became instant pals. Her wonderful sense of humor, kindness, her strength, and her dedication to her students as well as her family her things to set her apart as an individual. She was also an extremely talented artist and educator to thousands of children in the Waukegan area.
What I will remember most about Anna is her absolute strength through adversity, her compassion and selfless drive for the concern of others, and her endless love and joy that she got from her children and her husband. I recently saw a quote that encapsulates her determination to live to the fullest: “Her courage was her crown, and she wore it like a queen.”
Much love and healing to Dan, Lily, Jacob, and Ava as well as the rest of the family and friends that loved her. Her memory will truly be a blessing 💙
