Obituary

Dr. Arnold W. Sutker, 81, May 5, 2023; beloved husband of the late Priscilla for 29 wonderful years; loving father of Scott (Holly), and Todd (Jennifer); much loved step father of Stacy (Jeff) Edelson, Ilysha (Jason) Havens, and Julie (Tim) Kreczmer; cherished grandpa of Taylor and Sammy Edelson, Eli and Emmy Havens, Alex and Owen Kreczmer, and Hannah and Josh Sutker; dear brother of Janice (David) Solovy; adored son of the late Marvin and Frances and a loved uncle. Arnold was a 1959 graduate of Harper High School in Chicago. He went on to get his Bachelor’s Degree at University of Illinois and then continued his studies at Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine; graduating in 1967. Following school Arnold went to help his dad with the generational family business, B and M Plumbing in Chicago. Arnold continued to own and run the business until the time of his retirement. He is already dearly missed. Arnie and I were friends for sixty-three years who I met at Roosevelty University in 1960. Following undergraduate studies we both attended the Illinois College of Podiatric Medcine from 1963-1967. Dr. Sutker was very intelligent and always willing to share his knowlege with others. He continued managing the B&M Plumbing Supply family business and the company flourished under his direction. So many of our household items, which we enjoy today, were purchased from B&M. Arnie was a beautiful, kind person, who I was fortunate enough to know and he will live in my heart forever.
