Obituary

Edith Faldner lived a long, happy life and was reunited with her husband William on October 4, 2023. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on April 5, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio, Edith was the oldest of four girls, Beverly, Shirley and Arlene of Abraham and Jenny Goldman. Edith was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She loved being with her family for their Sunday dinners every week. As a true pioneer and entrepreneur in the 1960’s, she paved the way for women in business. She is survived by her son, Barry Faldner and his wife Vera, her daughter, Sheri Hammonds and her husband Paul and their two children Nicole and Brian and Nicole’s husband, Vlad. The family welcomes donations to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers. Chapel service Monday, October 9, 2023, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
