To all family of Edith,
We wanted to express our love and kindness to all of you during this difficult time. Edith was always present at dinners at Beth Tikvah and always wore a big smile! It is (and was) an honor to be her grandkids’ teacher and I got to know her through the eyes of her adoring love and pride for her grandkids and vice versa! She always spoke so kindly and joyfully about Erica, Megan and Hunter. The Berger and Prosansky families are such an important part of BT and we all love and are here for you!
May her memory always be a blessing!

I first met Edie when she started dating my brother Gene, about 60 years ago. Her family was welcoming and warm. I was privileged to stand up for Gene and Edie at their wedding, and was invited to perform a singing toast to them. Through the years, as they built a life together, they were blessed with a son, Joel. Edie and Joel had a strong mother-son bond, which helped sustain them through the untimely passing of Gene at the young age of 47. Edie was fortunate to meet Don, who has been at her side ever since, and a strength for her.
Edie, like her mother Nettie, spoke her mind, and you always knew where you stood with her. She was genuine, never phony. After my wife Lori and I moved to Florida in 1989, our contact was less frequent, but when we did speak, it was with love and respect. May her memory be a blessing.

Edie was my brother-in-law Joel’s mom. I will always remember her warm smile, and fun laugh. Plus, I will think of our fun and lively conversations catching up on various momentous holidays. May she go peacefully into the great beyond.
