I attended school with Chuck from elementary school through high school. We graduated from Niles North together, then we both attended SIU together. I have nothing but good memories about Chuck.

Charlie was my sweet little cousin since he was born 63 years ago. He was precious that day and throughout his life As I listened to the service , I realized how much I was touched by his love and felt so close even though actual visits were far between and sometimes spanned years. Everyone mentioned his smile which melted the heart always and put a smile on my face So special. I felt good knowing he had an extraordinary loving wife Sharron and 2 wonderful sons Frank and Chad and derived much pleasure from his relationship in spite of all the difficulties Charlie endured over 20 years. I forgot how much he endured. Charlie is much loved and my many memories will sustain me through my sadness of the loss of Charlie.

My deepest condolences to Sharron, Frank, Chad and the rest of Charlie’s family. I am greatly saddened to learn of his passing. Chuck’s spirit touched so many lives, including my own when we were roommates our freshman year at SIU-C. For those who had the privilege to spend time getting to know him, we were each the better for it. While we lost touch as the years passed, my memories of that time only reinforce my gratitude for his kindness and humor. My thoughts and prayers are with you, his family and closest friends. Rest in peace Chuck.

Charlie, you will be so missed! Having known him for 40 years, since we were young and in college at SIU my heart is truly broken with his death. Stay strong Sharron, Frank and Chad – we were all lucky to have him in our lives.
