Obituary

Our world has lost the most gentle giant, Robert Gelfond. He leaves a hole in the hearts and lives of his family. Bob Gelfond’s beautiful legacy is the deep love, protection, respect and adoration felt by his kids and grandkids every day. We are aware of this rare gift that we have received from Lenna and Bob Gelfond and we are so grateful. We have been taught the meaning of family from a man who believed family means everything.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lenna, the loves of his life, his daughters Cheryl, Lisa (Garry), and Julie (Mitch) and the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, Hannah, Eva, Jaclyn, Joey, Charlie and Max.

Wonderful family gatherings with our large family. We all loved to dance and hang out together. Best dance partner I ever had was Bob. He was the best teacher all his life, starting with dance and working our way through life ending up working at DePaul together.
