Elliott Greenberg

Elliott Greenberg, 96, father of Dan (Debbie), Ken (Benita) and Ron Greenberg; proud grandfather of Stephanie (Adam) Pearlman, Michelle, Josh, Naomi, Rivka (Shmuel) Reichman, Yehuda, Sara, Hadassah, and the late Jonathan and Amy Greenberg; loving great-grandfather of Alexis, Aria and Yosef; treasured uncle of Fran (Bob) Blumenkrantz; former spouse of the late Roslyn Greenberg. Elliott was preceded in death by his brothers David (Pearl) and Raymond (Rosalind) Greenberg. Elliott strongly believed in education and was proud of his PhD in chemistry from the University of Michigan. He worked at Argonne National Laboratory and subsequently taught chemistry at Prairie State College for many years. Elliott was instrumental in the formation of South Suburban Synagogue, in Park Forest (now consolidated into Shir Tikvah), and actively participated for many years on the synagogue Board of Directors, holding many offices, including president.
