My family and I were patients of Dr. Spero for many years. He was an excellent physician. I had been to a few dermatologists for my condition without results. Dr. Spero was the only one who diagnosed that I was in the 10% of patients who have adverse reactions to the mainstream medications and sunscreens prescribed for my condition. He prescribed the right medication, which I use to this day. Thank you, Dr. Spero! RIP.

Betty and I were the team with Gloria and Neal during which we helped Neal achieve “Life Master Status,” a Bridge title of great distinction. We celebrated together the status Neal so wanted. It was a great moment among so many we celebrated together.

His kindness and helpful! I remember calling him to see my daughter for acne and he told me to bring her right away, his treatment was very helpful and I was able to use his treatment plan for my relatives in Thailand for the last 20 plus years and make me the acne specialist in Thailand.

Dr. Spero was one of the favorite parents that visited Kenny and his fraternity brothers in Champaign. He was always friendly. Always funny. And just seemed like one of the guys. We still have a story or two about Dr. Spero from those times. There aren’t too many parent stories that get remembered 30 years later.

I saw him once as a patient, too, and I can’t recall laughing as much in a doctor’s appointment.
