Obituary

Fritzi Berkson, nee Waller, 96, beloved wife of the late Gilbert Berkson and the late Richard Willens; loving mother of Lawrence Willens and Janet (Robert) Singer; dear grandmother of Haley Singer; devoted daughter of the late Ethel and Louis Waller; caring sister, aunt, cousin and friend of many. Fritzi had a passion for knitting, designing clothes, drawing, coloring and all aspects of art. She held a special place in the lives of many and her greatest joy in life was her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ORT America at www.ortamerica.org/regions/chicago-region. Graveside Tuesday 2:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. We have been friends for more than 60 years. So much history in our lives. Dinners with couples and Richard at one another homes and parties too. Then sadness with Richards death and later Gil. With Gil vacations. Fritz, Gil, Lou and me. The New York resort , Mazlatan Mexico, picnics, wonderful dinner parties, Celebrating holidays together, So much more I guess I could go on and on because 60 and more years is a long time. but it is with tears that I write because I will never forget my friend.
