Jake was an amazing person. I was lucky to have the privilege of being his friend early in life. He was the hardest worker I have ever met. I remember in the old days at the under 21 club he mastered the game of foosball later on he’d work on his baseball game and then his football game. He always wanted to be the best he could be and he was. I learned of him bowling a 300 game. Jake was a legend and to me he was a great childhood friend that helped make so many wonderful memories. He will be missed. My condolences to his family

In 1976 we were so happy to have a new cousin though I’m not so sure what he thought of having 3 bossy older girl cousins! Our mom, Myra, adored him. Though we only saw each other infrequently, Jake would always greet me with a huge hug and smile–and plenty of gabbing! Our hearts are breaking now.

I played youth football for the Woodstock Thunder back in 2010 with Andrew and Austin, Jake’s sons. I remember seeing him quite a few times at Kingston Lanes after he took over, and he was always so gracious and welcoming to my friends and I. I am thankful to have known a man of his stature and reputation, and I pray for his wife, family, friends, and anyone who knew him. Our community has lost one who resembles the very best of humanity, and we will feel that loss for the rest of time. Thanks for making this world a better place, Jake. Rest in Peace, sir.
