Richard Irwin Haft

Richard Irwin Haft, 82, loving father of Jeremy (Rachel) Haft and Arlie Haft; cherished Grandpa Richie of Declan and Harper Haft; much loved brother of Barbara (Jerry) Petasnick and Carol Slavin (Sherwin Kite); adored uncle of Sheri Panovka, Laura Berkey, Carly Blair and Samantha Slavin; treasured great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. Richard was a graduate of Austin High School and received his master’s degree in accounting from Roosevelt University. An accomplished businessman he owned Alliance Graphics, a Chicago based printing company. He was universally known as one of the sweetest and kindest men around and was always a gentleman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Friends of Magen David Adom, www.afmda.org. Chapel service Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
