Donna Karm

Donna Karm, MSIA Minister Emerita from Wilmette, Illinois, passed into Spirit on March 31, 2024. Many across the world had the opportunity to share with her as she joyfully participated in online MSIA and PTS events even until a few weeks ago. Donna had gracefully worked with a condition labeled Multiple Sclerosis for over thirty years and was wheelchair bound. She managed systems that allowed her to attend community events as well as host ministers meetings and PTS classes in her home. When she had to move into skilled care, she took on the ministry of holding the Light for the residents and caregivers, including during the pandemic. Her sister, daughter, and son saw to her care and comfort right up until the end. Please send Light to them and Donna’s journey home. Surely she is in God’s arms.

Laurie: When I would see the PACE Bus at the entrance to the Temple, I knew Donna was in the building. My deepest sympathy to you and your whole family. May her memory be for a blessing.

Dear Laurie and family, thank you for the love and great care you offered Donna. All 25 years I knew her, she was wheelchair bound. But her spirit was never bound. She taught me so much about was is possible when most of what we think we need is taken away. I was blessed to be her friend. You are blessed for your loving. She is now blessed with peace and a freedom she sought for so long.

Dear Laurie and family, I only knew your mom for a short time but we formed a great friendship. She was committed to living her life despite her handicaps and I admired her strength and perseverance through difficult times. May good memories sustain you at this difficult time.
