Eileen Fine, 93, née Olevsky, beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Fine, happily, married for 62 years; loving mother of Michael “Mickey” (Judy Hallisey) Fine and Nanci Fine; cherished Grandma of Michelle (Michael) Macfadden, Laura Fine, Amy Williams and Kevin Rosenberg; adored great-grandmother of Jack, James, Leah and Kayla; proud great-great-grandmother of Melody; treasured aunt of Jeffery (Bobbie) Kriesel and Debbie (Stuart) Bookman; Eileen was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Beck. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish National Fund: Plant a Tree in Israel, shop.jnf.org/collections/plant-trees. Graveside service Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 2:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Eileen had a ‘thing’ for owls & her apartment in Northbrook was chock a block with owl imagery. With that in mind & during many travels, I’d snap a picture of an owl (by Picasso or some Outsider artist or just a statue in a greenhouse somewhere & send it to Eileen.
Eileen & her late husband Bob were my father’s favorites & they’d often drive into downtown Chicago & have dinner out with him, all the way until his late ’80’s.
Eileen was always fun to be with & talk to. Actually, I just found out she passed & had been trying to reach her.

If you know my mom, you know this is who she was from the beginning. Her friends at the place she lived for many years made this for her on her 90th birthday and taped it to her door. She always taught me about looking my best and to never leave the house without lipstick and mascara. She will be sorely missed by myself and Jeff more than anyone will ever know. Nanci Fine

Eileen is a wonderful lady and mom.?knowing her for 63 years was fantastic. She followed Mickey and I all through school and beyond. I was lucky enough to visit her recently. She was just as cheery as ever. Rest in Peace
