My favorite memory of Toby is that she and Irv would come to my grandparents house on many special occasions, Irv designed Ruth and Mike’s house and Mike and Irv would discuss the construction and design. Toby was more interested in my sister and I and what we were up to. She took a genuine interest in us. She also loved my grandmother so much! There were times it was almost as if they were sisters.
When Ruth got sick Irv was also struggling, however Toby still found time to visit and be a support to our family during that time. She also followed my family on social media and followed my journey from a doctoral student, to a PhD candidtate through becoming a doctor. Toby would comment on my posts incluing the more recent ones where I’m creating content. I loved her and Irv so much growing up. She will be missed and I especially will miss her birthday wishes and other wishes on social media over the years. Even though we did not see eachother since my grandparents passing; Toby was, is, and always will be a source of positive energy and someone one will never forget.
