To Harry:
I remember when you would pick me up for a late lunch after I was done with work in the business district. We would head to Greek Town because I liked the Saganaki and you liked the free valet. It felt special to be introduced to your friends but most of all, I appreciated that you were a good listener.
A few years ago, I was able to return the favor. You had been hospitalized and I was honored that you reached out to me to talk. This time, I was the listener and due to my training, I was able to offer a suggestion to reduce stress. I have always believed that health comes first. I’m grateful you considered the my ideas and options.
I learned a great deal from the memories that you shared. There were stories that I had never heard and you sharing them with me was life changing. I have a deeper sense of my history and thus a more connected relationship with myself. Thank you for teaching me about our family.
I know everyone has their own ideas of what happens after we die but I know where you are. It’s a place that is free from worry and fear because it simply doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as time, no such thing as pain. You don’t grieve because immediately upon thinking of a loved one, their soul is present with yours. For you, today is a good day. Tomorrow will be a good day. The day after that is a good day and this goes on infinitely, forever.
Love,
Laurelin

Mr. Hefter (Harry) allowed me the opportunity to learn about technology and business at an early age by working part-time and later full time at the firm. My late father also worked for Harry for 30+ years, so he always seemed like family to me (along with many of the managers and engineers at the firm). Just wanted to drop a line to offer my condolences and thank Mr. Hefter one last time for the experience. May he rest in peace.

Condolences Marilyn, Janice and Family. I wouldn’t have succeeded in the business world without the extreme help afforded me by this exceptional person. All of his former employees join me in extending our extreme gratitude to have had him in our lives.

Dear All families and friends of the late Mr. Hefter– Janice and All:
I am so Genuinely sorry for the loss …
I did not know him personally-
Regretfully so, as, if Janice displays any of his traits– he too must have been a warm, compassionate and giving individual, talented in his work and endeavors but sharing that with others.
Thoughts and prayers with all of you–
– Joy
we are Lucky, too that pieces of his Good advice come through her! Such as asking for more work. Very seriously– such advice from our Fathers– are priceless–
We go back to, wishing we had heeded more vigilantly at time.

Harry was an awesome boss that contributed to my professional growth as a black female within the engineering industry. He gave me the opportunity to for growth and perseverance and recognize abilities within me that I was unaware. God bless for comfort to his family, and he will be truly missed.
