Obituary

Norman Lubarsky, 94, died on March 28, 2024. After growing up in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood where he made dear lifelong friends, he remained in the Chicago area married to his beloved wife Esther for 52 years. While he loved theater, music, playing tennis, and cheering for Chicago’s sports teams, his biggest joy and pride was his family. He is survived by children Ellen (Bradley) Falkof, Jay (Katie) Lubarsky, Susie Feldman, grandchildren Adam (Emily) Falkof, David (Lauren) Falkof, Sarah (James) Falkof, Allison (Nick) Money, Emily (Alex) Quinn, Scottie (Courtney) Feldman, Sami Feldman, Hallie Feldman and his six great-grandchildren. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes appreciated to RUMC-Parkinson’s Disease Research, Rush Office of Philanthropy, 28057 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1280.

It’s so ironic that I was fondly thinking of Norm(ie) the other day. And Esther. These thoughts of course were about Bridge. My memories of your parents and the Gung Ho’s made an impact on my life. Your father was so kind to my mom after my dad passed. He checked in with her often. The Gung Ho’s were a very special group of friends.
