Robert Goldberg

My deepest condolences and sympathy go out to Mr. Goldberg’s family, friends, and community. He was my gym teacher and assistant principal at Scammon. He was stern but cared deeply for all of his students. May he rest in eternal peace and live on in the hearts of everyone he touched!

My sincerest Condolences to Mr. Goldeberg’s family and friends. Mr. Goldberg was my Gym Teacher at Scammon School when I was there from 1971 thru 1975. He was a kind gentleman, but a stearn teacher. I appreciated that, since a lot of the boys in my class were “class clowns!” He did a great job keeping them in line! I was very thankful he was kind to me because I had trouble climbing that rope and he let me get half way and told me to “come back down, you’re done…next!” He knew I was struggling and didn’t make it a “thing” so I wouldn’t get embarrassed. I saw him once, after moving away. He remembered me, and that was a highlight in my life! After all those years, he remembered me. I’m glad I got the chance to Thank him for being a great teacher.
