Obituary

Ronald Sharlach, 90, proceeded in death by Judith Sharlach, his beloved wife of 62 years, his son, Zvi Fisher-Dann and his grandson, Lex Riklin, his nephews, Bradley Balson and Bruce Glazer. Ron is survived by his children, Stephen Sharlach, Kim Lieber, and Tracy Esterman, his son-in-law, Dr. Bradley Esterman, grandchildren, Sam Esterman, Philip Esterman, Lindsay Esterman, and Isaac Sharlach, brother, Howard Sharlach, and by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own. Chapel service Friday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W Rand Road, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Chicago Botanical Garden (www.chicagobotanic.org). Ron has been a friend for 40 years. When I first met Ron, I thought that he was poor. He only played early bird tennis for $6.00 a day, and his tennis clothes were desheveld. It shows that looks can be deceiving. I maintained a special relationship with him for those 40 years. When I decided that I could no longer play early bird tennis, I became part of the Friday breakfast group. He will provide fond memories for all who knew him. I have never heard a bad thought when his name was mentioned. May his memory be a blessing.
