I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Joel Greenberg. I had the great pleasure of knowing and working with Joel when I was at the CCSAO in District 2 Skokie. Joel was a first rate lawyer and great advocate. Joel was always kind, professional, funny, and just overall great guy. His passing is a great loss to the legal community. I have fond memories of Joel and he will be missed. My condolences and sympahthies to his family.
My thoughts and prayers with Joel’s family and his memory be eternal.

I remember Jann & Joel so warmly as parents of a wonderful student, Michael. They were compassionate & caring about his education and school environment. Through the years, our association grew into a deeper friendship. I honor both Jann & Joel in my memory. My deepest sympathy for the family. Meg Pyterek

Joel was the prosecutor on the very first felony case I ever handled. It was so long ago, it was in the Daley Center.
Without a doubt, Joel was one of the funniest guys I ever met. Throughout the years, no matter what kind of case we were dealing with, he always had a joke to add to the conversation.
His memory will be a blessing and put a smile on my face.

As a fellow attorney who had many cases with Joel over the years, I can say he was one of the nicest, friendliest people I had to good fortune to work with. It was always a pleasure to see him in court. He will be sorely missed.
May his memory be a blessing.

I first met Joel at St. Louis U, where we were classmates, & then did not see him for several years, until we started in the State’s Attorney’s Office within a couple of weeks of each other. We were then partners in a felony trial court in the Daley Center. He was a joy to know, a great partner & friend, with a great sense of humor. We shared many serious moments while on trial & many light moments laughing with each other. May his memory be a blessing to his family, friends & all who were privileged to know him.

Joel was a very smart and talented attorney. I met him over 40 years ago .
I was a law student and had the opportunity to work as a clerk in the courtroom he was the prosecutor. I learned a lot from him. We reconnected so many times over the years. He was later the prosecutor with Wayne for Northbrook in the Skokie courthouse.
It was my pleasure to work with him throughout our careers. He will be missed. My condolences to his son and his friends. May his memory be a blessing.
