Eric Auvinen, 32 years young, passed away peacefully while surrounded by love on June 6, 2024; beloved husband and best friend of Naomi Yiu for over 4 amazing years; devoted dog daddy to Alpha; cherished son of Peter (Veronica) and Susan; adored brother of Kevin and step-brother of Lucia; darling grandson of Ruth (Gilbert) Lande, the late Harold S. Lee, the late Dennis and the late Marilyn; much loved nephew of Michael, Laura Adamson, Margo (the late Robert) Covell and the late Joselyn Knitter; loved son in-law of David Yiu and Winnie Koo; dear brother in-law of Fergus Yiu; wonderful cousin and friend of many. Eric’s presence will be extremely missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Brain Tumor Association, www.abta.org/donate Memorial Service, Tuesday, June 11, 2024; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. My condolences to Eric’s family. Eric was a fun and caring person. He loved to make people around him laugh. I will remember sharing a family dinner with Susan, Eric and Kevin. We were also at a special holiday dinner with Kevin’s close friend Cath’s. He was loved and appreciated by all who were lucky enough to know him, and will greatly missed.
