Obituary

Elaine Rosenberg, nee Garfinkle, 97, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. Dear daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Garfinkle; beloved wife of the late Bernard; adored mother of Michael (Carol), Richard (Faye), Howard (Susan), and the late Steven; wonderful grandmother of ten grandchildren- David (Morgan), Joanna (Zach), Samantha (Matt), Abby (Michael), Whitney, Erika (Jacky), Carly (Blake), Becky (Labeat), Joshua (Kate), and Shayna; proud great-grandmother of 18; dear sister of the late Alan (June) Garland. Elaine was a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her four sons. She was a loving, caring, and selfless mom who would do anything for her boys. Her warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and her love for family was unwavering. Elaine’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS Chicago, www.pawschicago.org.
