Howard and I were hired by AccuQuote a week apart. He was the man to go to for information about what carrier would be best for what client. He definitely knew his stuff and was always willing to help. He had a great sense of humor. Although he came off as very hard, he was always kind once you got past the charade. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family was his world and he let everyone know it. He always talked about his wife and how proud he was of his kids.

I worked with Howard for 25 years. He was a big part of our Accuquote work family. He made a big difference in helping agents to confer and determine which rate classification a person could obtain, especially if someone had multiple health issues. Your husband, dad made an impact on all of us. In this world, people don’t remember what you wore (in case, maybe) or what you said—they remember how you make them feel. The tribute to your Dad was beautiful and we can laugh through the tears…. May you keep his memory close to your heart to give you strength and peace.
Howard,, until I see you again…. With my deepest condolences, Sue Cherry “like the fruit”.

I met Howard over 20 years ago during my introductory training session at AQ. Howard was my trainer and let me tell you, he was dead serious about having us prepared and on the phones if we got through basic training. He then was my manager, my mentor, and we became friends over time. He would talk about how proud he was about his son and his daughter, and how much he loved his wife Marilyn. Once I had kids of my own, he would listen and give me advice ask how everyone was doing as the kids got older. He was more of a mentor than a boss. He was a great guy, behind that tough exterior he was a big teddy bear that would have your back no matter what. He was a remarkable teacher and he had a gift that he could talk to anyone and just took over. He could have the most irate client and speak to them in such a way that had empathy but also commanded respect, so at the end of the call they loved him. You will be truly missed my man!

I only had the pleasure of knowing Howard for about 2 years but he instilled a lot of knowledge in me and was busting my chops when I made mistakes right until the end. I will always appreciate his sense of humor and how much he cared about his career and this company. Some days, his lighthearted and comical berating of my mistakes was the best part of the day and he will be sorely missed. RIP, Howard.
