Obituary
A South Shore native born in 1937, Sue was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. Independent and resourceful, she proved to be a model of resilience time and again. As a young mother of three, she was by far the best cook in the neighborhood and became a culinary inspiration to her children. Strong, committed, supportive, kind, Sue also didn’t take any shit. She was a social pterodactyl who knew how to work a room, make people smile, and was absolutely the person you wanted in your corner. Trained as a medical technologist, Sue worked as a clinical phlebotomist for several years before ultimately finding her way into sales, where she was a natural. Her work ethic was second to none and set an example for others. Sue left her mark wherever she went and will be terribly missed by her family and friends.

My Aunt really was a wonderful cook!
Growing up Aunt Sue always had time to listen to me or talk thru challenges that I may have had. It felt to me as if I had a second mom. As we both became older it seemed that she would talk to me about her lifes’s challenges that she experienced as well. I will miss Auntie Mom so much.

My memory of Sue will always be of graciousness and kindness to all. Always smiling, even during my sad moments, I didn’t remember the reason, and her smile gave me strength. She provided a magnitude impact on my life. Thank you Sue for all you have given.

This is very sad news. I am sad we were never able to get to see each other since we lived so far away. My thoughts are with all of her family. Eileen
