Obituary

Leonard Parmacek, born April 20, 1934, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Ellen, happily married for 55 years. Loving father of Eric (Jacki), Brian (Ronda), and David (Amy). Cherished grandfather of Alex (Annie), Taylor (Ethan), Dani (Zach), Jake, Maddi (Joel), Mikaela, Zoey, Sophie, and Adelaide. Proud great-grandfather of Rory, Austin, Dylan, and Miles. Longtime companion of Donna. Leonard will be remembered as the most loving man, with a huge heart that touched everyone around him. His kindness, generosity, and devotion to family defined his life and will continue to inspire those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LUNGevity, www.lungevity.org, or the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org, in Leonard’s memory. A private family graveside service will be held. Eric (and Jackie) I am so sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen you both in a very long time but I have very fond memories of your father. My dad adored him and I remember seeing him hard at work at Galaxy Carpet Mills when him and my dad worked together.. I am sure you find peace in knowing what a great. long, and loving life he had.

My sincerest condolences to all of you. BTW, I saw yoor daughter at the Deerfield Farmers Market (I didn’t say hi since she wouldn’t know me). She was ‘bragging’ about her parents to one of the flower vendors who knows you. It was adorable!!!!

Uncle Lenny was always there for others - here at my Sweet 16 SHARON USLAN

I have so many loving memories of Uncle Lenny. Mostly how he always had the biggest smile and the biggest hugs. I’m so sorry to all of the Parmaceks and frankly anyone who was lucky enough to love Uncle Lenny and Aunt Ellen. Love you all and I wish I could be with you this week.
