Obituary
She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Ed Weinshenker, and her loving children: Stacy (Doug) Eaton, Craig (Carolyn) Brown, Jennifer Nielsen, the late Melissa (Bill) Carrier, Brad (Kathy) Weinshenker, and Marci was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren—Alex (Shannon), Taylor (Cody), Kailey (Taylor), Jessica (Mike), Lauren, Zach, Jake, Rachel, Nick, Hallie, and Valerie—and great-grandmother to Kyler, Harlow, Kinsley, and Ellie. She is also survived by her cherished brothers, Howard (Joan) and Larry (Tammy) Edelman.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Sylvia and Morris Edelman, and her in-laws, Esther and Carl Weinshenker.
Affectionately known as Grandma Marci, she was the heart of her family—its historian, connector, and constant presence. She spoke with her children and grandchildren nearly every day and was deeply devoted to maintaining the family’s closeness. As the keeper of the family tree and genealogy, she took pride in preserving its legacy for generations to come.
Marci found joy in the everyday: long walks, Hallmark and Lifetime movies, and shopping for others—rarely for herself—because giving brought her the greatest happiness. She loved the sun and spent winters in San Diego, and she had an adventurous spirit, having enjoyed more than 40 cruises with loved ones.
Holidays were especially important to Marci, and she often rescheduled them just to make sure everyone could be together. For her, being surrounded by family was life’s greatest gift.
Marci also stayed closely connected to her roots, serving on the Bowen High School Class of 1963 Reunion Committee and nurturing lifelong friendships with her classmates.
Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org/donate/ or Shriners Hospitals for Children, donate.lovetotherescue.org/give/119312/#.

Lots of wonderful memories over the past 40 years, working with Sylvia, then Ed and Marci. How fast the years have gone by. I will miss her. My sincere condolences to Ed and the family. I’m sending an attachment that I’ve always felt says it all. I hope you do as well.
