Obituary

Ronald M. Rothstein, 65, beloved husband of Candy for 32 years; loving father of Melissa Rothstein (David Mengeling) and Ryan Rothstein (Melany Vintimilla); cherished Papa of Landon Rothstein; devoted son of the late Terry and Marshall Rothstein; dear brother of Richard (Susan), Robert (Marianne), Randall (Carol), and Jeffery (Tiffiny) Rothstein; treasured uncle, godfather, cousin, and friend of many. Ron was a Chicago Streets and Sanitation employee for 33 1/2 years. He was a true jack of all trades, master of many, that enjoyed numerous hobbies, who was widely known for his stained glass artwork. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Melissa and family,
I was truly blessed to have met and talked with your dad. He was one in a million. I will remember him for his kind heart and sense of humor . He was always good to my dog Max, even when Max was overprotective of his mom (me). Thank you for sharing your amazing father. You are his legacy… an amazing daughter and friend to many. Remember, he will be with you always. May he rest in peace.

Ron was a very kind and thoughtful man. He made a piece of stained glass for us that was absolutely perfect. A master of the craft that he took great pride in. While speaking to him about the order, my 2 year old peaked into the video call to say hi and also chatted Ron up a bit. When I went to meet him to pick it up, he sent an extra piece of his work home with me just for her. It’s hanging in her bedroom window and she loves it. He will truly be missed by many.
